From 28th October to 8th November 2025, Mr. Clement, representative of KAF, travelled to Nippon Koei’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, to attend the ID&E Workshop hosted by Nippon Koei and attended by representatives from other ID&E group companies.
The workshop featured key presentations from each group company, providing a comprehensive strategic overview that included corporate profiles, ongoing and completed projects, five-year targets, and strategies for engaging in public-private partnership (PPP) projects and private sector initiatives.
Presentations concluded with discussions on opportunities for collaboration, resource sharing, and strategic alignment across the group.
As part of the programme, participants were given a tour of Nippon Koei’s Research and Development Centre, where Mr. Clement was introduced to innovative technologies under development. Highlights included cutting-edge artificial intelligence applications, advanced traffic counting technology, and other innovations with the potential to transform urban development in Africa and enhance infrastructure resilience
The workshop also included networking dinners and award ceremonies, providing an opportunity for participants to strengthen ties across the ID&E group and celebrate achievements within the organization.
Mr. Clement’s participation in this workshop reinforces KAF’s commitment to leveraging innovative technologies and strategic partnerships to drive sustainable infrastructure development across Africa.
