As part of its ongoing commitment to community development, Koei Africa Co., Ltd. (KAF) undertook a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative on 5th June 2025 to enhance the learning environment at Mwangala Primary School. The school is located within the area designated for the proposed Mombasa Special Economic Zone – Dongo Kundu (MSEZ-DK) in Kenya, where KAF is actively involved in several JICA-funded infrastructure projects, either as a joint venture partner or subconsultant.
Recognizing the importance of inclusive development, KAF donated a range of essential learning materials, including classroom desks, laptops, a variety of reading materials, and metallic storage boxes. The company also provided sports kits and equipment to support physical education, as well as refreshments for the students and staff, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere during the handover event. This initiative reflects KAF’s core values of sustainability, social impact, and community empowerment, ensuring its projects bring tangible benefits to the locals. Through such efforts, KAF aims to contribute meaningfully to the long-term socio-economic development of communities in and around its areas of operation.
